And that right there is the problem. Most dealers and their staff are complete idiots. They will sell you the vehicle and do routine maintenance and repairs….but beyond that, I wouldn’t let em touch it if it was something I can do. Like plug in a tuner.
I didn't buy my truck there, but I do have them perform my oil changes and tire rotations. They have a very good tech that I always request when scheduling an appointment. He has worked on my trucks since around 2000 and doesn'tusually do the oil changes unless requested. His son works along side him, so I'm hoping he'll be just as good some day. I may do it myself if they offer a good sale around the holidays.

Not to beat the warranty subject to death… but can the FP tune be removed and the truck returned to the stock tune like you are able to with other aftermarket tuning devices? Goosetune has made videos of him doing this with his tune and taking his truck in for warranty work. Just need so many key cycles on the stock tune before taking it in

I'm very interested in this for the transmission tune. Mine is very clunky especially at red lights. I wonder if it could be removed if it did not help and how that would effect the warranty?

Yes. You “download” the stock tune to the programmer, then upload the performance tune to the programmer from your PC and install that on the truck. A copy of the stock tune is always a couple clicks away.

Quit worrying about the warranty. You aren’t going to do anything, with this tuner, to require warranty work that would be questioned. It’s VERY mild.
