Ford Performance Tune for Gen 3s

im curious are you guys who have the tuner running 91 or 93 octane up in Canada its pretty rare to find 93 outside of a large city. Obviously the higher the octane the better and the more HP. Just curious how it feels on 91

Also in Arizona, we only get 91. I haven’t installed the tune yet, but I plan to add 8-10 gallons of E85 per tank to get me to 93+ with around E25-E30. Not sure if you have E85 in Canada. Either way, pretty sure 91 is the minimum, so should be good regardless.

Is Calgary an outlier with the 94 octane?

I very much recommend the ford tuner if you have a 23’. It certainly pulls harder and shift better.

Im looking forward to hearing how the trans tune behaves after a few months....Does the tune feel different than clearing the learning tables? I always get completely different amazing temporary behavior after doing that. Glad people are getting these, and yeah 600-700 bucks is still a way better deal than exhaust or an intake.

I enjoy mine on my 23 as well! Just added 37s tho and wonder why they say you can't change tire size when it is clearly a feature in the tool? I found video of people doing tire size change on the broncos but apprently you can't on the 3.5 idk.

You can do it with Forscan for the F150's

Well it’s a trans tune. So it would have its own new max and min parameters and tables. Just clearing the tables with OEM tune doesn’t change the overall rules and limits.

The issue is that while the ProCal tool allows me to make the change, I'm unsure if it's actually being applied. The tool now displays 569 instead of the original 606 rev/mile. I've sent an email to FP to seek clarification on this matter. Guess we will see their answer. Keep you posted what I find out.
