I've just been through this debacle with my 2020. Basically 67k and sleeve had slipped. Also found it is not a matter of if, but when according to "most" techs. All the way up to some time in 2023 I believe? Could be wrong, I forget, but all on 2nd gen into Gen 3.
Don't know about Cobb "in house" tuners, but having COUNTLESS tuning sessions with MANY tuners on several different platforms, I've been EXTREMELY happy with Goosetuned (Winfield) who IIRC is a certified Cobb tuner. Soooooo put that in your pipe and smoke it!?!?!
As for Cobb pricing on "cobb"...
Interesting… wonder if different foam is used based on options. However seems it would be more economical to have a single seat foam that is compatible with both heated cooled, etc.
Just wanted to throw some kudos out to Whitney Jackson of the aforementioned "The Seat Shop" (out of Texas no less). This place must be a REAL class act as although I was identified as NOT being a potential customer, time was taken to explain why they do not and may not have something available...
So although it looks to match nikhsub1's part number, I wonder if it would actually work on all '17-'20's with heated and cooled seats? I've not had one a part to see what the heating element looks like.
Some of us are not trying to "hide" anything, but makes it easier for any diagnostics, updates, etc. Some techs are easily thrown into a tail spin if they don't see what they expect, and are not trained to know what effects what outside of OE parameters. And as I've found out, you don't always...
I went ahead and got a set of the AT4Ws (5) as well. Other than the weight, I DO notice as it's A LOT, liking them otherwise thus far. Have not had them in the rain yet. SUPER quiet vs. worn K02s.
Still surprised not to see a greasable leaf spring bolt kit for this. Machined right it should still be reliable. Machined wrong could be catastrophic. But damn it would be convenient if done right! You'd need to drill/debur ports in the bushing sleeves.
I’m a full synthetic 5k’er myself. I suspect the truck doesn’t really have much of an algorithm to “predict” oil condition. This thread prompted me to go a head and order a kit for my 2020 with 69k on it.
Its not the lines I'm worried about, it's what they are being clamped to. After looking at the video again, as feared they often go on plastic fittings.
There's got to be a better way. I'm now concerned about this. Wonder if it would be as easy as peeling off their $hitty crimp sleeves and just using clamps. However, I suspect many of the fittings are plastic so over tightening clamps could cause their own problems. And having said such, the...
If it wasn't clear, 1" lift would be the Deaver +3 springs and you would need to add bump strike plates. Now for the type of Deaver spring. You have a choice of SD or HD.
SD is around if not the same spring rate as stock. However, Deavers use more leafs for a more progressive spring. People say...
Nope... seems they are Ford F150 TL springs on an otherwise completely different and factory modified truck. Makes no sense what so ever. I mean why even beef up EVERYTHING else to include the frame and most other suspension products? I guess maybe the front upper control arms are also...
