Super happy with the results though:
Just needs another coat and a little extra on the cuts (I did prime them first):
Got it from Autozone, forgot to mention:
Finally got around to my rear wheelwells yesterday after rotating tires. I got a little close with the pressure washer in the right rear so figured I'd try the Raptor Liner undercoating, might as well hammer the pinch welds while I'm at it:
Left side wasn't much better:
Grabbed a 10-pack of...
I got a spare passenger side factory taillight if you need it, I backed into a electric cord plugged into an outlet RIGHT at taillight height last year (in my defense it was a new house and this is the first time my truck actually had a garage to live in), punched a quarter-sized hole in the...
Definitely a good looking piece but...I can almost get another 2 Full Race spares for that much (and my labor is free heh). Or a massive transmission cooler (I'm good with the Ford Saudi cooler there). Not knocking CBR at all and I did seriously consider them but couldn't justify that price...
+1. Forgot to mention, I did Motorcraft upper (cake) and lower (OMFG it's a bitch to get that clamp off) radiator hoses at the same time. I considered heater hoses but they seemed ok. Recommend the cable clamp remover tool thing if you do lower radiator hose, I got a cheap one from Autozone...
Looks to me like the pan is well inboard of the pumpkin, standard disclaimer I'm no expert heh, but yeah it's possible it's a drip from changing the diff oil so if it was mine I'd clean the area and monitor, watch for puddles under the truck and see if the drip shows back up. Good luck!
Forgot to mention, sign up for their email marketing, yes they send a lot but at least every few weeks there's a "25% off any one item" in there. Make a "[email protected]" or something if you have to haha!
Weird spot for a drip, is it engine oil? Some residue above yours but all I see on mine above that is cylinder head, exhaust manifold, maybe valve cover gasket?
He had a lift. I think I watched a Fordtechmakuloco Youtube video doing the pinion seal and he lifted the truck, set jack stands and let down the axle so it could droop out, and used an impact with a 12-point on 'em.
I started at 36psi, used Forscan and reduced TPMS so I can run 32. Actually it was my local Discount Tire that put 'em on, but I have a spare set of wheels so I just loaded them up and dropped them off. Notably they said next time they would match the price so I'll see next time.
That's my...
I think so!! No flats but I haven't been hitting any rocks/cactus either. It's a tradeoff between smoother ride and puncture resistance (and probably wear rate), but so far I think the C range is perfect. This is about 90/10 between asphalt and old highway/sandy beach and oilfield roads; I've...
