GEN 2 What else is in your garage?

The new Vette looks like a Mclaren, wonder if they cloned the design a little bit. Then the Miata in the background is a fun little ride as well.

Is there any kind of transmission service required?

I thought these transmission with fluid were a lifetime deal at least it was on my Gen 1. Think you have to take the whole cover off, the diffs have fluid changes though

Dam click bait, I thought I was going to see some bunny ranch babes instead all I got was this. Raptors are not girls that would be jeeps.....

GEN 2 What else is in your garage?

Yep it is Subarus halo car and they have a full rally race team in the USA. The team is made up of former Nascar drivers. The Sti has Recaros and some cool touches but at the end of the day it shares switches and pieces with the wrx and impreza. If you want fit and finish then get a benz or an...

GEN 2 What else is in your garage?

The STI still holds its value better than the others in its class. I own my STI outright and bought it new in early Summer of 2016. It has been a great car but only has 18,500 miles on it during that time frame. I would love to have been able to buy a 2007 STI new when they were out because of...

GEN 2 What else is in your garage?

The Type R is a Honda FWD, if you like the kick of RWD then it is not for you. Pick up an older EVO if the STI is not for you. Trust me lots of these cars out there: Golf R, Type R, Focus RS, and EVO. The only one that feels like a RWD car and you can actually see the hood is the STI. If a mid...

    What in the freaking hell????

this is like the time I walked into a Ferrari dealership and saw Albert Pujols Bentley getting cut on and all the techs were telling dirty jokes watching porn on each work station. I was like only if Ferrari could see you all now? LOL

    40 Days of Baja Quarantine

That is very nice, the wife and I went to Hawaii on vacation. Never saw any sea turtles or good marine life and you have a school of dolphins. Would love to go back once everything is back to normal. The only scary thing about the Baja or Cabo is the amount of drug cartels down there. Hope or...

    What in the freaking hell????

I believe dealers have been instructed not to turn off the double honk, my 18 Lariat did it and so does the Raptor

GEN 2 What else is in your garage?

I owned 2 of them an 08 hatch and this 16. They are fun cars the new ones with 19s are not as fast as the older ones. The next gen will make mid 300s for horsepower and be direct injection so you might want to wait for that one.

What is Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating?

Yes and I should have clarified that the coating is not but if not properly applied at the right speeds or with the right applicator then it can lead to clear coat scratching and even burnt paint. Paint correction and swirls are an easy fix with the proper cutting compound. The main issues lots...

What is Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating?

I have expel ultimate clear film on my 2016 sti, and it has not disclored or disfigured at all in 4 years. However, rocks will still do damage to it at highway speeds. The ceramic coatings are an abrasive cut into the paint and if not done properly will leave surface scratches in the cover...

    Center console lights

I have a 8/18 build date, have the metal oil pan and cup holder lights but no shift console lights for the gear selector. I am guessing they used all the parts they had till they were gone then switched to the new ones.

    Trading 2017 for a 2020 Raptor

Most of you all crack me up, 1. none of you generally speaking will have this truck over 1-2 years same with the Gen 1 Raptors when they came out 2. Who cares if they have blue or orange shocks, I personally had my 2011s rebuilt every 50 thousand miles or so by Fox on their website since I...

GEN 2 I am back to the Raptor world

Not really in sport mode that is a stout truck go drive one if you don't believe me. A company out there makes this a diesel Raptor LOL

    2018 left over "NEW" Raptor

New Raptors in my area sell for 63-67 new and sticker in the 74 ish range. I do not think that Ford offers their rebates and incentives on those trucks at least with the dealers I know. If I could have bought a fully loaded Raptor with every option that you can get on one for 59-60k then I would...

GEN 2 I am back to the Raptor world

Really, I had the FX4 in a Lariat trim so it was not basic truck. The 3 liter diesel motor is a ford Europe motor. It came in the HSE Range Rover and is a good motor 400+ ft. lbs of torque and it got 24 mpg. The powerstroke family of motors are very strong and very good especially if you tow...

    2018 left over "NEW" Raptor

In the Raptor world and I have owned one for 5 of the last 6 years the 2010s have depreciated to the price of a nice used Honda or Toyota which is why you see high school aged kids rolling around in them. 2011s held their value more with pretty much all Gen 1s now suffering from the old model/...

    2018 left over "NEW" Raptor

Generally speaking, unless you sell it yourself. Dealers have to pay a lot for all their operational costs.

    2018 left over "NEW" Raptor

You lose around 20 percent when you drive any vehicle off the lot generally speaking. The first 10-15 months of ownership eats up a lot of depreciation.

    Dealers selling 2020's at invoice

I wish the Raptor would qualify for all the goodie rebates, incentives, and zero percent that Ford runs on their regular trucks. It is what it is, but I guess they could sell a lot more Raptors than they would have otherwise.
