Seems like all bikes would be at risk because the rubber tires would melt before the carbon rims. I haven't heard of anyone having a problem with melted tires, so you're good to go!
The decals readily come off with a little heat and some persuasion. The glue residue can be dissolved with non-chlorinated brake cleaner, same as dry cleaning fluid, and then brushing the cloth with a medium bristle brush. The cover up decals look worse to me than the safety tags do. There are...
I have one and it's a good investment. It will withstand most smash and grab break-in's, which probably account for 99% of vehicle thefts. Mine came with a key lock and I found that system less than desirable. The keys are too large to carry around and the tumbler mechanism is stiff - even...
Thank you for all of the responses, including from RealTruck. I did get the return authorization and the hitch has been returned. All is well and there are no hard feelings toward the company. I wood use them again - don't know when I'll need something but the time will come.
I don't know about resetting the BMS but it does sound like the battery isn't being fully charged. Alternators are better battery maintainers than chargers. Put the truck on a smart charger and let it fully charge the battery. A good charger will tell you when the battery is fully charged and...
It depends. Buying a trailer for a short period is probably going to be considerably more expensive than staying in a motel. You have the price of the trailer, hitch and other incidentals as well as camp ground fees. If you keep the trailer when it's no longer needed, you'll need a place to...
The seats are the same - no difference is construction. The only difference is that the leather covers on the Rocaros that tend to be a little grippier. Sorry to spoil the party.
The grooves can be used to hold a bed divider to prevent items from sliding to the front of the bed. I made this one based on a picture I found in another post. They are hinged in the center and fold out of the way when the whole bed is needed. I like the swing cases to hold small items that...
This photo is of a Chevrolet 2500HD Diesel pickup coolant stack. The small radiator at the bottom is the trans cooler. Front to rear is the air-conditioning condenser, intercooler and radiator. Notice that the intercooler on the 6.6L diesel is huge compared to the one on the Raptor.
Should not cause a problem. All of the full size diesels have much larger intercoolers in front of the radiator. The 3.5L EcoBoost intercooler is dinky in comparison.
You can get one at https://monroneylabels.com/ for $7.99. It's not an exact duplicate, but it's very close. You pay the fee and download the label as a PDF file and/or a jpg image. The check list that the truck was ordered from is also included. Good value for the buck.
What in the name of Oden? Took my freshly washed Raptor out for a drive and find that there is dirt under the door handles. Who ever would have thought there would be a need to lift the door handle and wash under it? I never had that issue with a Chevy.
Just rumors so far. Possibly with independent rear axles and a much larger info center display in the cab. Could be a long wait - might not appear until late 2021. This Covid-19 thing could set it back even further.
We had a nice day here today and I washed my Raptor by hand in the driveway. The car washes are all closed in my community due to the Covid-19 crisis, so I had little choice if I wanted a clean truck. I've had quite a few cars and trucks but none that drip water in so many places after a wash...
I'm using a bed divider. I copied it from one I saw in another forum and not an original idea, but it works. The holes allow cans to be tied to the divider if needed. Open the latches and it folds in half for easy storage.
Visa credited my account back for the amount of the hitch. I'll send the hitch back as soon as RealTruck sends me a return authorization and mailing label. Still haven't heard from them though.
I ordered a Weigh Safe Hitch from realtruck.com on the Saturday after I bought my truck. Afterwards, I realized that I really needed a weight distribution hitch and that the Weigh Safe wasn't weight distributing. I called RealTruck the first thing Monday morning and ask them to cancel the...
I realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder but once everything is painted the truck loses it's uniqueness - looks like every other F-150 on the dealer lot. Ford does a really good job from the factory. Leave them alone.
Sugar doesn't dissolve in gasoline and has no effect. It drops to the bottom of the tank and isn't problematic. Gasoline theft or other injurious material is another matter. One of these is a good deterrent but keep in mind a thief could cause a lot of damage steeling a few gallons of gas...
