I had some Amazon gift cards that offset the price, it is pricey but i was probably spending 40 bucks a week + tip at the local hand car wash for 2 trucks . So that would pay for itself 8-9 weeks , not mention couple hours of time each week taking 2 trucks to wash . Now i can do both in half hour and drink beer at home or wash very early in morning before carwash opens . Nice in AZ get you stuff washed in summertime before sun comes up and it hits 120 deg.

You could use it for drinking water but they put a sticker on "not for drinking" for liability Purposes , I'm sure.

I will have to look into the comet pressure washer

i just scored a couple gift cards myself. hmm...

The other bug I have besides the 1800+ pollen count is that washing my truck is like a magnet for my neighbors to do annoying $hit. one likes to break out his riding mower --immediately-- after i start washing, or the other neighbor will schedule his yard crew to come over. one time last fall he had them do the leaf pickup with a bunch of blowers and a giant vacuum. the dust storm caked my house, wife’s car and Lucille in dirt.

We negotiated a bottle of scotch from the duty free store in Frankfurt for that one.

I know... #firstworldproblems

That sounds like a reason to go to war! Did they buy you the scotch?

Only a non issue, until it becomes an issue...

Nah, unless you are living in some crazy dusty area, it's not an issue. I've been using various leaf blowers for years with no issues. The Obsessed Garage guy uses this one (previously the Ego 580). No one is more OCD about paint marring than that fella.

At this price point, I could have bought a Master Blaster or the one you linked. The intake on this particular blower is located on the back of the unit forward of the handle so unless it's sitting an inch or less from the ground, it's very unlikely to suck any "particles" up.

Keep in mind suspended or floating dirt particles in the air can get in between the nozzle and the paint anyway, so a filter would be of zero use. The filter concept is kind of silly since you can't filter what happens after the air comes out and before it hits the paint. If your location is that dusty then you're screwed no matter what.

Oh yeah, works great on the driveway, too!

Same seems to happen to me with the neighbors. Weird.

What in the name of Oden? Took my freshly washed Raptor out for a drive and find that there is dirt under the door handles. Who ever would have thought there would be a need to lift the door handle and wash under it? I never had that issue with a Chevy.

I bought a little Greenworks electric pressure washer off Craigslist for $50, works great. I didn't expect much but was really surprised! The handle sucks, but that's easily replaceable and a few quick disconnects wouldn't hurt. I also have a 3300PSI gas unit which is way too unwieldily for simple car wash duties.

I didn't realize how awesome electric pressure washers were for car washing until I bought one. When this one bites the dust, I'll buy one of the higher end models.

Having hand washed a lot of vehicles, hand drying the Raptor became a bridge too far, so I bought an Adam’s Air Cannon Dryer. And I get the added benefit of making washing the Harley much less work.

What are you all doing for keeping the side steps looking clean? Any products to apply to blacken them or clean them better? Mine keep drying with a dirty haze after a wash. Maybe I need to use a brush instead of a microfiber towel to really scrub them.

Get a can of SEM bumper coater and paint them. On the water filter I think I will try to sell it to the wife as it would be a great setup for washing the windows on the house the whole setup pressure washer, Foam cannon and water filter. If it is for my truck its always a waste of money. For the house or if its her idea not so much.
