Have you unpluged the three PCM connections to look at all the little pins for corrosion?
You may need to open up the plugs so you can look at the back side inside the plugs.
This is the purge valve. Replaced mine with only 10,000 miles.
I can't find my receipt with the part number, but you should be able to get that on Fordparts website.
I would get a smoke test done, this will reveal any leaking connections.
I also suspect the Canister Purge Valve, this is a common issue.
It's a fairly inexpensive ($60) part to change out.
Thanks to the Dumocrats all major citys turned into S _ _ _ holes.
I'm going down to Florida Jan, 2 to buy my retirement home.
Had to stay in NYC because the pay scale for crane operators is the highest in the world.
Here in NYC car washes have to recycle the water so going through a car wash in the winter is a no.
I believe that's standard across the country.
I can only imagine the jets that spray under the truck just gets more salt water up in areas normal driving doesn't.
My truck has never seen a auto...
Nope, I do the fluid exchange as well.
I know my service tech and have full confidence he does it the right way.
I do agree if you don't follow the book and don't do the full trans service,
I wouldn't recommend someone to start doing it at 100K
I understand, it only takes one tire to go below 30 to set the light.
Just go out and fill them to 42 and if you have to, drive around the neighborhood till the light goes back out.
Just keep in mind tire pressure need to be set when tire is ice cold, there is almost a 4 to 5 degree in...
Yup it says that in the manual but my truck turns off the light about 30 seconds after just starting her up.
I don't know what to tell ya.
Maybe because I'm running a Tune, and it's set 30 psi. IDK
Then you bought the C class which is in my opinion, "not" the right tire to put on a Gen 1
They will also wear a lot faster than the E class and they only have three ply, not so great for off-roading.
Load rating is really really low. But they are the cheapest.
Most guys on here get the...
@vetteengr
Max tire pressure is 65 psi for the 35/12.5/17 Toyo OC
You have to pump the tires past 40 psi. to turn off the light. 41-42 psi. should do it.
Assuming the sensor are in good condition.
If you don't fill past 40 psi. then you'll need to drive it to heat up the tires increasing tire...
Oh it's there, you just don't hear to many Prochargers on 5.0 either, most are doing Whipples and Roush.
I can tell you that the Procharger operates past the limits of the size of the tables written in the Tune, it's a predictive algorithm so the PCM knows what to do next, but if inputs are...
Well that's just it, PCM has no clue what's coming.
Throttle and injector response comes from the trust values from the tranny but the power isn't there so the PCM holds off on AFRs and then the air comes now the PCM tries to make up for it.
Sorry guys every time I see snow chains and Raptor this always comes to mind.
He beat the crap out of that Raptor and it sold for like 180K because it was on TV.
Lean, very lean, that was Hennessy's problem, but they sold it anyway and many blow holes in the piston heads.
Destroyed Procharger's chance the be popular with Raptors.
Then Hennessy move to Roush units and it was "Flame On"
Livernois has a pretty good Tune for the Procharger but still, it's...
The one big problem unfortunately is the Procharger has spool up lag and it's something the software in the PCM cannot handle very well.
The same goes for the Whipple and Roush just nowhere near as bad, but the PCM has a difficult time with the By-pass valve and boost.
Ford engineers never...
Yes, I do.
The long block comes complete with heads, all torqued and benched run with break in, just like a new one does.
When I had to do it back in Feb. 2013, It took 3 weeks for me to get my truck back.
You do get a warranty but I cannot find on the invoice what it was.
There's a great video...
