Oh it's there, you just don't hear to many Prochargers on 5.0 either, most are doing Whipples and Roush.I was meaning more along the lines of the tuning issues on the 6.2 that does not “seem” to be there on the 5.0’s, specifically the ecu not knowing what is happening with the lag in boost and other items mentioned.
I can tell you that the Procharger operates past the limits of the size of the tables written in the Tune, it's a predictive algorithm so the PCM knows what to do next, but if inputs are outside of the table this becomes a problem.
The PCM will try to correct but it may not be the right or good enough prediction.
There's a reason why Ford uses Ecco Boost (twin smaller turbos), rather than one big centrifugal unit.
Look at the Buick Gran National great power but doesn't last long.
The difference in engine design makes the 5.0 handle boosted applications better.
And not to mention thrust and torque management is different between a Mustang and a Raptor.
If the Mustang has an automatic. If it's stick that would make it even better.
Just to correct you it's not called an ECU, we have PCMs (Powertrain Control Modular) both engine and transmission management are bundled together in one unit.
