Great episode. He really put it through its paces.

***Spoilers***
Those chains really caused both trucks to shake, pretty violently on the silverado, which...
Hahaha, I think that way sometimes. My trucks know what kind of loyalty I have, since I kept my 98 flareside for 14 years in top shape, and I'm sure my 12 raptor will last way longer.
Some reason I figured they would have corrected this to cater to all by maybe having air bags or something when needed. One of the only truck like features it can't handle.
I would say the hp and 10spd cancel each other out, same with the 35's and gears.
I'd place it with the 3.5. 4 extra gears is huge. Maybe a touch better.
I'm a big v8 fan, but I honestly don't see the big deal with the v6. Ever since the SC lightnings came out, I've always wanted ford to go the turbo route. Branches out on the hp gains. Exhaust sound is about the only negative and that can't be much of a problem trying to get a nice tone out of.
Yep, has both. Just added safety.

There must be a way of adding some throatiness to the exhaust with a larger muffler chamber or something. Maybe bigger primary headers. That's must changed my lightning to a...
Sales don't lie. EB's were selling HUGE and now they're adjusting to the market.

For large volume sales like the f150, it will always involve gas mileage, and smaller displacement is the only option. But...
FWIW, I can't see the EB exhaust sound being a problem. I made my lightning go from sounding like a smallblock to bigblock with the exhaust, I can't see why you couldn't get a lower tone out of the EB with exhaust volumes and not using the gay audio trick.
From what I've read, the phoenix is the successor to the gt, but wont be a retro design. The gt and gt40 is just to show the performance history. The raptor teaser will be the full truck, supposedly a pre-production but sources say its pretty much dead on.
The raptor is pretty close to the platinum pricing and they're in the 62k range.

That means $82k cdn.
Autoblog ford sources say it's labeled as teaser, but will be production.

So much would it actually take to get people to upgrade?
4600lbs?
500hp TTV6?
