Hey guys,

I've got a 30" LED bar behind my grille that I want to get amber covers for during the winter months for snowy weather.

The 30" is just an ebay bar, so I'm looking for universal clip on covers. I've seen 10" increments before but I'd rather just get a single 30" cover.

Also I don't need the worlds best/most expensive brand name cover, it's a plastic cover on an ebay bar for pete's sake lol.

I've got a 40" bar behind the grille too but I want to keep that one clear. My 30" bar isn't as bright being an ebay one, so it's not terrible for street use in poor conditions especially if it had an amber cover, where my 40" is just blinding for others lol.

And no I don't normally drive around with the bar on, but in near white-out conditions, it helps not only with my visibility but others seeing me without blinding them.

Oh and not looking for offroading primary use, street queen lol. I know there's other options that are better for offroad.

Not looking for the dirt cheapest way, but some guys like to recommend parts just because they're the most expensive on the market lol. I don't need a plastic cover that can survive a bullet shell haha. But I'm also not going to just get an orange sharpie and color it in!

I want it removable so the spring/summer/fall I can still have clear. Just want to run amber for the winter months.

I have clear acrylic sheets that I put tint film on that I use as colored lenses for my bars. Attached them to the bars with clear velcro. One half stays on the light and the other half on the cover. When I don't want the colored lense I just pull them off and store in the garage. Has held up for several years. Never had any issues with them coming loose and I can have different color lenses if I want. You could do the same with colored acrylic if you can find it. Clear is easy to locate as is tint film.

You can order amber plexiglass and just attach it with double sided 3m tape. And maybe 2 zip ties. Works great. Or you can buy the dual color lightbar setups

A couple of things to consider:
The amber covers do not match the amber lights on the truck.
Blue covers work well in snow. They don't make the lights blue, they are more of a filter eliminating they glare.
Plexiglass, amber or amber film, works well. Especially for curved bars.

Joker has it correct. I had amber covers for my 4-4" cubes and didn't match the color of the truck's running lights. I used orange translucent vinyl I got off ebay, sticks on there easily and trim it to fit. I've had it on mine for easily over a year and who knows how many car washes and not even a corner has tried to peel up. Also it's a perfect match to truck's running lights. Make sure to get orange and not amber.
