I feel the same. Too much going on. I called it a while ago. Ford made our Raptors never expecting it to be as popular as it is. Now, the think they have to make it appeal to a larger crowd so they can make more money. Hence, the protruding grill, the just-in-case-you-didnt-know-its-a-Ford tailgate, the non cohesive fenders and quarter panels, and lets not forget about the ecoboost V6 that Ford is pushing into EVERYTHING. Its more of a caricature of the original.

Tell me that our front end's don't look better. Something about the new one looks too boxy. Hopefully it grows on me

I think the '10-'14 looks much better. Bolder, tougher.

HOWEVER, after seeing the new Raptor in person on Sunday at JLA, the pics of it don't do it any justice at all.

The '17 Raptor looks much better than the '15 F150s IMO

Well, Since you seem to know something is going to happen at 9:10AM EST, I hope you plan on posting it up....pics/vids......

:grd:

I did know something, however, I couldn't talk about it until after it was released

You're slacking.... where's the info?!

It was released to the press early yesterday morning. Prior to that, I couldn't talk about it or say what I saw/knew without being fired.

OK, my 2 cents
1) I like the present Raptor's front end, fenders; the new tailgate...(Yeah I'm in the minority!), the new cab, but the old vents; New upfitter switches; new shifter; push button start; Definitely the new tranny, and Fox 3.0's...I wonder how the paddle shifters will pan out running at speed in rough terrain...would like the Torsen front diff to be standard again.
2) The new Raptor is the same width as the old!!!!! The new F 150 is one inch wider than the old; the new Raptor is six inches wider than the new F 150. The first gen Raptor is 7 inches wider than the 2009-2014 F150.
The FRAME is 70% high strength steel...and STRONGER than in any other 2015+ F150. The cab body is aluminum; as is the inner box; not sure about the old Silverado derivative fenders...
Ecoboost? DAMN straight! All of you supercharged engine 'fanbois'...know what? The supercharger ROBS some of the engine power to make boost!!!! The turbo makes boost without any parasitic drain...Turbos unreliable? Tell that to the thousands of truckers going a million miles on their turbo charged diesels...FORD has hit a home run with the ecoboost engines! 2.7 liters and >300hp/400 ft# torque!!!
3) If you buy a truck because of it's sound...is your name Bevis or Butthead?
I give it a 9/10 and hope I can afford one when released!
Eddie
