Will be interesting to see what they have in store for the next gen Raptor; I'll probably head down sometime after the opening (public) weekend...

I am trying to get my hand on some NAIAS press passes (I know people lol) for Monday/tuesday. Trying to decide if making the 5 hour trip will be worth my time. If its just a poster or something that would kinda suck. A full truck on the other hand would be worth it.

If I do, I'll get some pics for FRF of the stuff we actually care about haha

So can we all assume that if/when this happens the value of our rigs will drop like rocks?? That was one of my major deciding factors in buying this thing. They seem to hold their value like no other. Sounds like that could change!?!?

All assume? I am not assuming that and doubt used car dealers are too as they expect a profit for what they probably had to pay for it.

A Gen1 raptor will always be better than a loaded F-150 and more capabilities. There is value there and I can't imagine that everyone is going to think a Gen1 raptor no longer looks good when they look so bad ass now, that ain't going to change.

Autoblog ford sources say it's labeled as teaser, but will be production.

So much would it actually take to get people to upgrade?

4600lbs?
500hp TTV6?

i doubt that it will hurt the value verfy much. when the new one comes out it will be : 60k plus, (less dealer markup) also next to impossible to get and have to wait 4-8 weeks to order.

I had an 11 shelby 500 and when the new 13 with the better engine came out it did little to hurt the value of the 11 and 12 cars. in fact they are all still holding pretty good value at this time.

I wouldn't get too anxious yet, especially with your 2010. My bet is that we aren't going to see a 2015 Raptor (or we would have already) and we MIGHT see a 2016 later in the year, but it's an outside shot. Even if I am wrong, the new truck is going to be $60K+. The higher priced the new trucks are, I would think this plays to our advantage on the legacy trucks. For me, when the new truck comes out, I just may be in the market for the Gen II.
