Are you the original owner? If not did you register your used purchase with FOMOCO?
It can take years to track owners down if the vehicle is not owned by the original owner. This isn't a big deal on safety or emissions recalls that never expired. (In 1990 I did a seat reinforcement recall on...
So this isn't an original idea, at least for me. I actually came up with this back in 1995.
In 1995 I got my original SHO (1993, which is ironic because we got the 2013 in 2015, both white. Both no sun roof. Both built with in 10 days of exactly 20 years apart, both spent one year on the lot...
Well me personally am working on a switch that when triggered will make the horn go off when the start button is pushed and kill the starter.
Vehicles built after 2011 or so where the ignition switch or push button doesn't directly engage the starter relay but just tells the BCM/PCM/TCM to start...
Sound like it is inside or outside the cab?
Never heard a torque converter makea thud noise, and it spins at engine RPM so it would be a pretty fast thud, thud, thud, thud. Fast like 10 times a second at idle (600÷60 sec = 10 times a second).
Need more info,
Is it just once randomly or once it...
Yea I am out!! Been to salt flats 100's of times. That crap is like battery acid.
Cool no doubt, but I know better places (in Utah) to ride the speed limiter
Wife's SHO gets 29 mpg at 90 mph towing NOTHING. (Which if you do the math based on thermal efficiency and the internal combustion engine is pretty impressive given a 4400lbs missile at 150 feet per second)
There is no way on God's Green Earth you averaged 34.4 In anything hauling anything...
@Ruger
The reason I say you are re-****-ed is because it isn't 2011. And you are being chicken little saying the "sky is falling V8 rules".
We are well past proving that turbo V6 is a viable alternative to V8 power.
About the same as saying horses are better than cars in 1955.
Also the...
Years (like 40) ago I witnessed a truck go rolling down a hillside (on it wheels) out of control. The driver had left his 7 year old son in the truck while he got out to scout for deer.
About 800 yards down the hill was a 200 ft cliff.
His son had gotten restless and moved around the truck...
There is a huge difference in the quality of catalytic converters. We used to go cheap at my shop but after basically a 100% return rate after 3 months we stepped up and purchase great cats.
Screwed myself trying to save customers money. and I would also say that there are a couple vehicles...
Not to be a smart ass , but would be 13ish inches over the center line of the axle. But if the vent tube is in place clipped to the frame it would still be about 4 inches above water.
I bet there is a lot more water in the diff than someone might think.
It is retarded to think that the seals will flow water like Niagara falls. I get if the vehicle is parked in the water for days.
Also if the water pressure is high enough to push the seal open then oil could leak past at...
Says in the owners manual that the raptor can ford water up to 32 inches deep, it says nothing about changing the fluid after.
In general the most common source of water in the differential I see is a broken vent tube.
It doesn't look odd, the original f150ecoboost had the plate mount on the right side. I believe that a couple states require it to be mounted in the center so ford had to move it. lucky my state doesn't require a front plate.
