How much f/r travel is this bad boy pulling?


On all 4wd long travel systems , max travel is 17.5”. This is a 95” wide, if anyone ever tells you their kit has more travel, unless it’s 97 inches or wider, it’s not physically possible. Especially if they run RCV axles as those cause the truck to have less travel due to more binding than the stock axles. they have more material to make them stronger but cause binding at a lesser angle than the stock axle.

For the rear end, it is strapped I believe at 17 3/4”. A very well balanced truck. And the suspension hasn’t even been tuned yet. Imagine how it’s gonna work tuned. When you know, you know.

Anyone who runs deavers with a bed cage should be running this driveshaft to utilize the full travel. Hopefully limit straps are used on other vehicles that are using the stock drive shaft.
The good news is, the $1500 stated cost of a  new (quality) splined driveshaft is offset by the used value of the oem one-piece aluminum one. I'm seeing them at over $300 to $400 depending on condition. The bad news is, used Raptor leaf springs aren't worth spit.
