You really don't understand just how badly a blown gen1 with 3.0 suspension will beat on a stock gen2, do ya?
You could fill a warehouse with what @17Jake doesn't understand.

I could care less about modded/blown junk > G2's the new KINGYou don't understand how badly a blown gen1 with 3.0 suspension will beat on a stock gen2?
Ha.. I bet you could fill all the parking lots filled with broke down gen2's also...
Doesnt appear to be a shortage of either of those
no thanks required > that's just how it isThanks for being honest.
Yeah, I suppose that every Gen1 left the factory perfect and as scheduled....
Sitting in Dearborn waiting for shipment/retrofits/fixes is not the same as broke down.
Also I don't think anyone thinks a blown Gen1 with 3.0s won't be better than a stock Gen2, but that's not apples to apples, now is it? Stock Gen1 vs stock Gen2, that's a fair comparison, and soon we will all be able to see how that plays out (even if Ford themselves have already said that comparing the Gen2 to the Gen1 is like comparing the Gen1 to a stock F150). Modded Gen1 to Modded Gen2 will be interesting since it will take a little time for the aftermarket to get to the same level of support for the Gen2 that the Gen1 has. Not to knock the Gen1 since it was the innovator and we wouldn't have the Gen2 without it, but it wont be long before modded Gen2s are out there beating on modded Gen1s. It's called evolution. Starting with a better foundation allows for better gains.
Not wasting my time responding to all of this, but when you factor in cost it's a very fair comparison..
