It's amazing how much more enjoyable these forums are now that I've added 17Jake to the IGNORE list with Jackie. It almost makes me laugh every time I see the little entry that says...

17Jake
This message is hidden because 17Jake is on your ignore list.

It's just a pleasant little reminder that he's out there ranting about a truck that he doesn't actually give a shit about and yet I don't have to listen.

I highly recommend that everyone else give it a try.

Thanks dude.....I've been looking for that!

So you believe that becoming a supporting member adds validity to your posts?

Please do explain.

Might just weed out the posers that seems to be infiltrating our forum with needless information and threads. If you took this personally, then I'm sorry. I feel that membership is an important part to being a committed member around here......

That explanation makes sense. I did not take it personally. I just wanted to understand your logic.

I agree that "pay to play" discourages trolling, but it can also result in the loss of some valuable input from those not wanting to jump right in and drop $$ for entertainment value, until they have had a chance to see what they are signing on for. Considering the number of sources on the internet, a supporting membership is always a tough sell. I'd be curious to know how many people became supporting members within their first 6-8 months here versus those that had been here more than a year before making that choice.

I chose to pony up after spending about 3 weeks in a dozen different forums and very quickly concluding that this site had, by far, the most activity and vendor involvement. That was somewhere around the start of the year, and I'll stick with it unless the trolling actually starts to outweigh the real contributions.

Respectfully,
