Well shit I guess I was not even invited...So much for Yankee Hospitality!!

Who said you weren't invited? You're closer than I am so you don't have an excuse not to show up! :grd:

Let me know when and we can head that way. I was thinking of driving over there sometime durning the week of the 4th of July.

I believe Saturday July 27th at the Fort Fisher Recreation area. Fun in the sun and sand during a weekend excursion. Yeah, definitely sounds like a great time to me. Can't wait to meet you all!

Looked like from the rules that you can drive in the area, but can't tear it up and have to avoid vegetation and such. gr82bautvol can probably tell us how its going to be since he's been there.

It is really more beach access. Can't really get to wild. There are a few places but nothing really radical. Mainly hang out or fish. Your not going to test your raptor much. Once you get down toward the end and there is notably people out there you can play a bit.

Ok, so I'm thinking, that we meet up, drive down the beach toward the end, have a picnic lunch (we'll work on details later), hang out, play a bit, talk trucks, take awesome pictures, etc... Alcohol is not permitted in the park, not sure how strictly enforced that is, but we could always grab a beer afterward if people are interested.

Are there any beaches around where you can have a fire and camp? That would be really cool to meet up and camp a night on the beach.

There is a place that you camp and have access but the crowds get pretty heavy from what I have heard.
