A California native from Mammoth we know runs his truck often in the snow, and passed on this picture of his Raptor which runs our ICON 3.0's. Trenching through 6" deep snow filled road could be interesting but a lot of fun. I can only imagine what you could be faced with in the UP of Michigan......No matter what you guys are going to have a blast!

Last January into early Feb in Marquette we were getting a good 18" of snow a week. If Swoop1156 logged his ass on to chime in he could verify the driving conditions on the main highway up here (US 2&41/M28) when he came up to visit. It's not unusual to have 6"+ on the main highway when it's midstorm since to save money the Road Commissions limit their plowing to only a few trucks/routes until the storm is over (they actually close sections of highway because they can't keep up with the snowfall when a storm is in full effect). The highlands west of Marquette (Ishpeming thru the Copper Country for our run map) get hit harder than I do so this could very easily be the driving conditions for the run.

I was down in Cadillac, MI Monday-Tuesday and when I hit the U.P. on my way home the stretch of US 2 from St. Ignace to Brevort was a complete white out so depending on the weather the winter run may actually start before the crew hits the Casino for the opening ceremony!

Idk how it works there, but up here when they close highways (already happens 4 times this winter) if your leaving a major city there are gates they close off.

But leaving a smaller town or whatever, nothing stopping you from going onto them.

"Oh, I didn't have my radio on to know it was closed" has worked for me lmao.

It's nice driving on a wide highway with 15+ inches of snow, and literally no traffic.

Is it actually against the law to drive on the highways once they're closed?

Also, my truck will be Satin Black not just Tux Black, haha.

So what happens if they close the highways and roads off, due to snowfall? We're SOL?

M28 closes alot(We will not be on that road at all) but the roads we will be on more than likely won't be closed. They ussually don't close the county rds or others. But they will have a tremendous amount of snow fall on them if they are closing M28 or US41.
