FYI... from the SnoBall 500 FB page:

"After a lot of discussion about route planning, available support trucks/drivers, potential problems on the trail, etc. we have decided to cap the event at 55 trucks (to keep Mark's dream alive). So Registration will remain open to 12/21/12 OR til 55 trucks, which ever comes first. That being said it's probably not a good idea to wait at this point because we are technically above the 48 listed below."
