Quick question for those of you that have more experience than I do. I am trying to decide if it would be a good idea to go on this run with my truck. The reason i ask is I just got a build date of 12/5 and have no delivery date yet. I am not sure if it would be a good idea to take my Raptor on a trip like this basically as soon as I get it. Truck might only have a few hundred miles on it. For some reason, it makes me a bit nervous to take it out and push it with out any "break in" period. If I do the Detroit run this is about a 2000 mile trip for the wife and I. Any thoughts? Maybe it will be fine, I just need some opinions before I pull the trigger on this. Would also make Mrs. Labraptor feel a lot better. :High 5: Thanks for the help with this decision.

As others have stated it should be fine. It's 250 to Detroit then another 450 to the beginning of the run.

Like I said in a previous post is that the front skid plate will act like a plow and start lifting the front wheels off the ground. I think that as long as the stock trucks stay in the middle of the pack they should be fine.

The truck will do great, there are a lot of stock trucks coming.

What a great way to start outfitting your truck and learn what it can do.

You didn't order terain by chance?

Thanks for the input. We are probably going to try to make it. If we can get all our employees working together so we can both be out of state for that long.

No terrain, I ordered race red. No real choice. Last dozen have been red. Wife did agree the black looks awesome... just no time to keep it looking that way. Our long rock driveway makes it impossible to keep vehicles clean for the most part. I have not seen a color yet that looks bad on these trucks(stock paint that is.)

I don't pick my truck up until Jan 7th, and in South FL at that.

For the black bit... I ordered black, but, I'm having it completely wrapped in a satin paint protection film as soon as I get it. Instead of constantly having to work to keep the black shine pristine.
