Can you turn an f150 into a truck as capable as a Raptor? I see one around here with FORD grill, winch, etc, trying to do everything he can to make it look like a Raptor. Almost fools me every time at first glance. Guess you can upgrade suspension, etc, but isn’t our frame beefier? Among other things?

Electronics, but in the end, its all bolt on to the same cab, but why would you? You'd have to be dumb as s h i t to spend twice as much to get the same effect.

It's silly to mod to look exactly like a Raptor, yes, but if you have the time/money and enjoy making something that's more unique and exactly what your needs are, or that you can feel like you made yourself in some way, sure. It's not always about the destination, but the journey.

You can absolutely take an F150 and make it as capable as a raptor or even more capable.

As with anything there are a lot of variable on price, but you can do it cheaper depending on a few things.

If I had it to do over again, I would consider going F150 opposed to buying a raptor. Not sure which direction I would go, but would definitely weigh the two.

While what you say is true, I was looking at it in another universe. I had a brand new f150 and calculated what the cost would be to alter it to a raptor before I bought mine, in the end it did not make sense to waste money and still not have a vehicle that performed or looked the same. The mods to my raptor is my destination and even adding in those costs, it is still cheaper to own an original. Don't worry though I wasn't as smart when modding my mustang, ha ha.

Of course you can, if all you are talking about is suspension, but when you add on body panels, electronics, interior, etc to try and look like a clone, it doesn't add up.

His question was on regard to capability. But ofcourse you need new front fenders, maybe bed sides, depends on what you do with rear axle.

Agreed. It is not a cost savings. A part of me is thinking that my next truck may be a powerboost. If so, I would likely want a lariat or platinum interior, 4WD. Then add 35s, wheels , 2-4" lift, fender flares...I'm already in Raptor price range (assuming no ADM). Is it worth it for powerboost, particular since the mods are worsening performance? Probably not.

Can you buy the forged crank/connecting rods from ford parts desk too? How about the larger snails on the HO vs standard 3.5 those come off the shelf too? Bahahahahjahaha
