Yes. Cut all that open and remove the positive and ground wires running directly from the light connection.

what mac said. just pos. and neg. wires is all you need. i went one extra step and soldered a lower amped inline fuse right next to my hot wire connection to the upfitter, just incase. all four hids are firing perfectly. good luck! show pics when done.
