Check Google, but I'm pretty sure 000 steel wool is recommended to remove surface scratches from auto glass. If it's a deep scratch, then you might need to have it resin filled and polished out.

Is it the front or side? You can try clay bar that should help clean it then polish it with Adams sealant.
