Will a 37" KO2 fit in the OEM spare tire location?

Sweet! I’ll stick a 37” spare on and skip the bump stop upgrade :D

But in all seriousness, the factory tire carrier can’t hold the weight of a 37? I hadn't heard this. Maybe there is a way to reinforce it..

I’m also interested in running a 37 on the smaller side of the spectrum once my OE 35’s run out.

There is a reason that Carli is currently testing their "trophy hitch"( and people will buy it for $2K.)

It is no fun looking into your rearview and seeing your spare a few hundred yards back.

On the weight side of it, the other poster is right. a bfg 37 is about the same weight. Any of the offroad tires with a thicker carcass are generally tall 37s, so they wont fit, but for comparison's sake, a toyo mt in 37x13.50 on a 17" raceline defender is 10lbs heavier than a BFG KR3 40" tire on a fifteen52 wheel. ( rough and tough 134 lbs)

weight aside, like i said before, my dif cover was rubbing my spare bfg 37 and down right stopped on a general grabber x3 37.

and food for thought, if you go with an aftermarket bumper to get a better departure angle, ( and trim the bedsides to match) it looks pretty goofy hanging 8 inches below the bumper. ( and is now what will drag in the dirt) .

I'm at 25,000 miles now on y 2018 and will be looking for tires shortly. I'd love to do that install. Can I use stock rims with the
37" x 12.5" x 17" BFG KO2's?
Yes they’ll fit on stock rims, and actually for street use you would have less trimming if any to do on the front fender liners with the factory off set vs a 0mm or - offset wheel setup. Depending on what type of collars/ springs you upgrade in the front end.

Do you have any issues with rubbing when off roading? Did you have to trim?

I'm trying to decide between Geisers or Eibachs springs up front.
No rubbing issues now. Yes I did have to trim slightly and what really helped was pulling the inner fender back and fastening it to the body with a plastic panel fastener. The wheels are 5” backspacing (+6mm) so not as aggressive as some of the 0 offsets you see.

I decided on Geisers for the front—them being progressive was the major selling point for me. I have 20” VenomRex 602 wheels, but trying to decide between BFG KM3s in either 37x12.5R20 or 325/60R20. I would really like to go the full 37”, but I am concerned about the amount of trimming and/or loss of off-road performance.
