Dodge may come out with the Hellcat powered Ram. Seems to be a decent truck, but who knows how much R&D went into it or if they just slapped some suspension parts on it and called it complete.

To be honest, I don't think many manufacturers thought the Raptor(Gen1) was going to be successful when it first came out. Economy was still meh, and out comes a truck that gets 11/16 mpg and has a poor payload.

It's a niche market. Even with the Gen 2's seeing ADMs in 17, some manufacturers may not see it being worth it spending the time and money building a truck that can compete with the Raptor.

Chrysler/Fiat is broke and thinking of selling Jeep to the Chinese to raise cash. CEO said the company doesn't have the money necessary to invest in developing new cars.

Hellcat is based on a 1990s Mercedes chassis and slapping an obscene supercharger on the car is the cheapest and really the only way to upgrade such a dated car.

FCA is not going to invest the time and money into a Raptor killer when the rest of their product lineup is dying of old age and neglect.
