For those of you who traded from a Raptor to a Raptor R, did you find the insurance premium to decrease?
My insurance premium decreased by $420/year when I switched over to a 2024 Raptor R from my 2023 Raptor.
No changes to policy or location ($500K liability & $500 comp/collision deductible) Makes zero sense.
VIN was provided to agent, so there is no chance the wrong F150 trim was entered.
Because I felt this could not be right (paranoid if something happened I would get paid out at the replacement rate of a non R), I did inquire by asking the agent how a truck that’s got a $30,000 higher price tag & additional 200hp could result in a reduced policy premium. Agent response? No answer. No idea.
Curious if I am the only one here who experienced it.
Carrier: Geico
