I did 3M Dinoc, and it looked great, but I got mud on them, and it seems to have stained them. I need to try a few more things to clean them, but then I'm afraid I may have to peel them off.

Take to a dealer and sell it. This truck isn't for you it's obvious. Life is too short.

Get a Chevy or Dodge...you won't have any issues with those.

the headlight adjusters stick a little. you just have to hit em with a squirt of pbblaster and not muscle them like a caveman.

The adjusters are a shit design with plastic gears that flex, so you have to be careful.

As for the pillars, are y'all serious? its a truck and dirt scratches things.

Get some machine polish and put your DA on slow. all scratches come right out. if they bother you that much, pay $50 and have a shop throw some xpel ultimate on them.

I will say that the beltline door trim seems super fragile. I just had to order replacement parts because I've got some gashes in them from skinner trails.

Eh, yeah, its a truck, its gets dirty and scratches, living on a dirt road, my truck is always dirty. I have no ***** ***** as ceramic coat or xpel

BUT, Ive seen DVD's pulled from the hands of toddlers with less scratches than the pillars after a MINIMAL amount of ownership

I agree with you on the scratching stuff but for this kinda money they should make things a little tougher knowing what the trucks "might" go thru ? I haven't had mine off road yet but I can say theres alot of contaminants in the paint I'm kinda surprised because my 93 ranger had great paint job on it !

your 93 ranger has paint on it that is not low Voc or water based.

i will say that ford has issues with paint adhesion on ALL of their vehicles, but especially on aluminum panel vehicles. I had chips in mine within 1,000 miles.

Pro-tip - if you have paint issues and it is chipping, the "ford test" for covering paint under warranty is: take a piece of duct tape, apply it to the vehicle over the affected area. If paint comes off when you peel the tape off, they'll cover the repaint.

F150 hoods have been aluminum since 1997. I never had any issues with paint adhesion on my 97, 06, 11, 14 hoods or my 2017. However, I've heard about the aluminum tailgates on some older Explorers having paint adhesion issues.

UPDATE!

After sitting at the dealer all day:

-The first oil pan change, the drained my synthetic and refilled it with regular. For this SECOND LEAKING OIL PAN I said I JUST replaced the oil, that's how I noticed the leak, and I want SYNTHETIC back in it. They balked, and said will charge me the difference.

-Asked to adjust the headlights, they cant, adjusters just spin, need 2 new headlights

-rumble in the rear end, they cant replicate, I need to ride with a tech

Sidenote, my rear springs can go in the trash, but that's my fault.

31k miles.

I asked my dealer to adjust my headlights and they said they can’t be adjusted up and down only right and left. I think it’s a bunch of crap but that’s what they said, I will try another dealer.
