I'm local to Lethal Performance here in South Florida and they say the Whipple programming is not great drivability wise. They reccomended their own modified tuner kit with smaller injectors and custom tuning by Jon Lund. Lethal's own Raptor has this setup and it does run strong. I'm torn which way to go now but I'm wanting to get it done soon one way or the other. Very anxious to here from guys here on the forum after the install on a members truck is done. Lethal uses Power by the Hour for installs here and I'm hoping to see them finish another truck or two before I decide which way to go.

I'm the first.... (they wont do any more kit installs until they get mine sorted out)

I need something steerable because it's my daily driver. I'm not a happy camper right now.

At this point if they don't get it done this week I'm going to tell the to remove the kit put it back stock and wait till they get there **** sorted

Would any of you guys do a Kenne Bell if they made a kit for our raptors? Or stick with whipple to go better with the factory warranty?

Informed the dealer about this and the SVT Tech will give them a call tomorrow.

More delays this is disappointing

You are talking about the white one right.
Didn't Lethal install long tube headers? Which Whipple does not support, I do not know when they posted that on Whipple's website but it's there.

That black Raptor that's on Youtube and on a post on this thread has the Whipple,
I do not hear or see any problems. Is this the Jon Lund tune for Lethal?

I just worked a double shift I'm to tired to look all this up, I'll deal with this tomorrow. I waited over a year and half now, I'm sure it will work out.

New Tech is great but damn if just doesn't sync right :Grenade:

Thats my Black Raptor in the Videos, running the Lund tune from lethal performance, I originally ordered the complete whipple kit with whipple tuning back in Nov, Feb came around and the tuning still wasnt ready so Lethal Suggested i go with a tuner kit and they're tuning, Very glad i went this route, with the Sct handheld tuner you can update tunes via email, I've already received one update from John Lund, since i was doing the install myself warranty wasn't an option, Very Pleased with fit and finish of the whipple kit, it looks and fits like it came from Ford that way, I am also pleased with the tuning from Lethal, its not 100% perfect but its very close, a few weird surges from time to time but nothing crazy, it drives and shifts like stock until you open it up, very pleased with the trans tuning as well, under wot it shifts firm and quick, no lazy shifts or searching for the next gear, I've had many modded trucks and cars and this is no easy task when you throw a bunch of extra HP at a trans. Lethal is currently testing they're truck with a smaller upper pulley and long tube headers, I'll probably go that route when they get it dialed in. this is something to consider when you decide what tuning to go with, do you think you can bolt on the s/c and be done?

I have had many modified cars from Terminators, GT500's and my Raptor and I have learned that you can never just bolt on a supercharger and be done. I have dealt with John Lund's tunes and never had a complaint. Vortech used my truck to design their supercharger and they did the same with my GT500 for their twin screw. John Lund tuned the GT500 and I was very impressed but I still wanted more.

Welcome Brit901,

Thanks for resonding to my PM on Youtube and sharing with us about your Whipple. You'll like this forum great info and pepole!
Like I mentioned in the PM I think your truck runs great, to bad I live up here in New York. No speed shops here are doing Raptor mods.
I hope you hear something from Lethal and let us Know about the headers
You state the tune is not perfect, but is it something that notice daily or on certain occasions? And I'm guessing it's not a big deal.
Are surges happening at idle or cruising?

If they put a 6.2L in a Mustang I think Tunes would be plentiful :)

Every now and then the truck will have a high idle in gear while stopped, it's something they're aware of and working on now, my first tune the trans shifted way to hard, they fixed that issue and emailed me the revised tune the first week, there's only a handful of trucks running it right now, I'm fully confident in Lethal and Jon Lund to have the tune 100% perfect soon.
