I have talked to Whipple about doing variable fans and a thermostat, but this would increase the price significantly.
And the whole idea behind the fans is to get the intercooler fluid as cold as possible at all times, so there may be some draw backs going that route.

Going to have to do a little research and see if we can do something on our own.

I don't hear them inside the cab unless I get close to a van or another pickup and I have the window down and radio off.

Why don't you just hook the fans up to one of the switches on the center consul?

Yes you could relay an uplifter switch to do that.
But I have found after driving around for over a month, that you do want these fans on all the time and on high,
so you are always ready to use the benefits from them.
This is my opinion.
And I've received many comments on how bad ass they sound. LOL
Like "you got something serious under there don't you".

So let's start

Reason for why I chose Whipple over Roush

First and foremost, if I'm going to spent this kind money why would I settle with 150+ crank hp less, this is a no brainer
Even with Whipple being around $700 more, where can you find 150+ hp add-on for $700.

Here's some comparison:

2.9L vs 2.3L, 2.9L is over 20% larger in capacity and optimizied for 6.0 to 7.0L engines.

Nearly 4000rpm lower compressor speed for decreased temp and power consumption.

Twin screw has higher thermal efficiency which equates to lower discharge temps.

Lower compressor speeds means better belt life, more pulley selections, more power capacity, no special belt systems for built engines.

Massive intercooler core compared to far smaller Roush unit means much cooler air charge, more power and more capacity for higher HP.

123mm MAF airflow vs much smaller Roush unit.

123mm venturi for better air inlet

Oversized true flow S&B 9" filter vs. tiny Roush filter.

Front feed compressor allows for much less air inlet restrction as it only makes one 60deg bend vs the 45 + 90 + 90 deg bends.

Less inlet restrictions equal lower supercharger temps, lower power consumption and more power available.

Big runner manifold allows for far more power capacity then the more restrictive Roush manifold.

Available with warranty, at 150+ more power than Roush.

And since I went though a Ford/Whipple dealership, I get to keep my OEM warranty,
because I stayed with stock exhaust and no other Mods. (this may be subject to change in the future Maybe as far as Long Tube headers are concerned)
Ford and Ford Racing is getting feedback so who knows.
I fell like a sale person, LOL

And if anybody is near or planning on coming to New York, now or in the future please PM me if you want to drive it.

Upate:

Now you can run full Long Tube 1 7/8" Headers for full power power flow.

That's 90+ over Roush's stage 2 590hp kit.

Define New York....I will be in Newark which is sorta close at the end of July for a week...I would definitely be interested in arranging something!

I'll be working on the West Side Highway near the Holland Tunnel on and off that's just the other side of the Hudson River.

But let me know when you in town and if we can work something out, no problem.

So I finally got around to installing the Moroso Air/Oil Catch Can on my Whippled Raptor.
I went with the Moroso because of the large catch can which is recommended for SC Raptors.

Note:
You only need the one for the passenger side, the drivers side valve cover hose is for clean air intake for the crank case.

The can it self is a really nice piece of hardware, can't say too much on the other parts.
The bracket that bolts on the shock tower is not designed right to clear the 2 1/2" wire harness.
I had to cut a full inch off the side and then used a 3/8" hose cut down the middle to cover the edge of the bracket, this is to protect the harness.

And I will be replacing the 2 soft hoses that comes with the kit to the Power Brake Vacuum hoses.
I have read in others threads that the hoses collapses when they get hot with either Moroso or the JLT kits.
And I then do not need the hose clamps either.
