Roush Supercharged Raptor 1/4 Mile Run. - YouTube

Here's the Pro-Roush. I prefer actual results and seeing results with how the truck performs, only got 2 runs in due to a wreck earlier this afternoon. Plan on going back to the track and dialing in the truck. As for the pulley as I showed MTF i would def replace it due to the fact mine broke completely off the motor afew weeks ago. Roush covered everything under warranty and worked with Ford within 4 days the truck was back on the road with a new pully, belts, and oil filter cooler housing due to the fact the pully got caught in the belts and swung down cracking the oil filter cooler housing and creating a pinhole in it.

So after that incident and how things were handled with Roush I cant say enough how smooth and quick things were handled with the reps from Roush. They even got props from the dealership who had to do the repairs. So Roush all the way...performance and kickass customer service and warranty. What more could you ask for?

I think you need to put the picture up so everyone has an idea of how flimsey the stock tensioner really is with plastic parts to boot!!!

I scratch my head sometimes as to what SVT was thinking when they put the Raptor together.
I mean when a simple cargo van gets an 8 rib serpentine belt system
and a high performance OFF-ROAD Truck gets the cheapest system off Ford's shelves,
you have to wonder.

Here's the picks of the OEM Tensioner Pulley that failed on my truck, like MTF and I stated pretty crappy, I would suggest anyone running a factory model that's boosted to inspect theirs for any cracks/flaws or possible weak points being formed.

Great thread, and info I've read it a few times now. My question for the Whipple owners that use there's for DD. What's your impression on just driving around in normal conditions, not boosting all the time etc. How are the trucks in slow traffic, over heating issues or anything. I guess all the questions for me is I like FI and the
Whipple is great. But I've never actually owned a FI vehicle. Just wondering how the everyday drive ability is with the Whipple. Any regrets so far?

I spend more hours than miles in my DD in NYC and have gone through the heat wave last summer.
There isn't any difference in drivability when going Whippled or any twin screw SC. As long as the Tune is good.
It's like the Raptor was built for it, IMO

so what is the difference between a Supercharger, whipple, and FI

Do you forced induction? If so superchargers and turbos are forms of forced induction. Whipple is a company that makes twin screw supercharges..there are roots (for example: roush), centrifugal (for example: procharger), twin screw (for example: whipple)

There's plenty of YouTube videos on the differences and how they work
