Has anyone had the install done by Ken Grody Ford in Buena Park? I’m getting ready to pull the trigger and any recommendations on who to talk to or connections would be greatly appreciate.

Just know that once it is flashed on it is not easy to remove....but it can be done.
I had some help from Ngauge staff.

Also, since the dealer is installing it, have them to confirm in writing that this goes not void your warranty. My 2 cents

This is what I heard all along. I found the “removal” process remarkably easy, provided that you get Whipple to email you your “stock” files.

Loaded stock files onto the Whipple Tomahawk programmer. Flashed truck back to stock. That allowed the dealer to use their IDS to then update the stock files with all the latest Ford updates. Badda boom. Badda bing. Done.

As I understand it, if you don’t have the Tomahawk and the stock files from Whipple, then it is a lot more difficult.

Nobody’s going to sign any paper guaranteeing your warranty for the things that have been modified, some dealers are modified friendly, like KEN GROUDY . If you bought it there, and service it there you have a better chance of them working with you! Works for me!

I did and do service my 2018 Raptor @ KG. They install the Whipple Stage 1 on alot of their trucks right off the lot so it feels like a safe choice using them, safe/modest tune and I would have the ability to ask any and all questions... I will be contact Ruben to see what the warranty covers.

Any update on this? Seriously considering moving to MPT in the near future. I emailed Whipple recently to ask about tune updates, and other questions, but got the typical lack of response.

I left Whipple for MPT. HP Tuners is worlds better than the ECUTeck on the Tramahawk. MPT customer service is second to none. PRX-93 and stock transmission tune, incredible!!

Same here. I have a few hundred miles on the 93-RRX tune WITH MPT transmission tuning over the updated Ford stock file. I am very happy with it so far. Normal mode now drives like it should... like you chose to buy a Raptor, not a Prius.

I was told by one of Whipple's best staff (IMO) that they chose the Tomahawk programmer with long term goals in mind. Supposedly the Tomahawk tool will give them access to modules (don't quote me on the exact technical language here) in newer/upcoming vehicles that other current tools can't modify. That makes sense, but I just got tired of dealing with Whipple's painfully slow and unnecessarily complicated customer service experience.

Still waiting to receive the tune update from a Whipple. Emails have been going on since around Memorial Day ish. Classic Whipple experience.

Anyway, running MPT 93-PRX now and so far I am absolutely loving it. Put OEM plugs gapped to OEM spec back in. Drives like a completely different truck!

Email them again. I did not hear back and re sent then a email and that’s when I heard back.

The updated file is noticeable
