I know this is an old thread, but is there a simple way to explain why there are no BBK upgrades that can be installed on the rears for the gen3? Some vendors quote the electronic brake, but I believe late year gen2 had the electronic brake, and rear kits were still available.

17/18 have cable parking brakes. The kits you referenced are for them. That's how I was able to install rear Alcons on my Gen 2.

There have been issues with front brake upgrades causing DTCs to set in the EBB due to the additional fluid volume of the larger multi-piston calipers. I suspect they may be encountering the same issues with the rear, in addition to the electric parking brake challenges.
I believe that is a correct assessment. I have a 2023 PP37 and put the Alcon kit on my front and had all kinds of codes thrown that related to the EBB. After 4 attempts to fix the problem I reverted back to the stock rotors and calipers and haven't had any problems since. Sucks after I was assured the new brakes would work and spent 4K.

Phew, glad I waited on the Wilwood kit. I would not have been happy to drop that kind of cash only to be met with codes getting thrown.

I went with the Wilwoods and had them powder coated Code Orange.

What is the Year, make and model and is it a raptor R of the truck in the picture. did any dtc's set when you installed these 6 piston wilwoods. i am interested in knowing because i have a customer with a 2025 Raptor R and another shop had installed wilwood brakes, 6-piston calipers and rotors at the customers request.

im getting
ABS C0021:7ABrake Booster Performance: Fluid Leak Or Seal Failure
due to excessive fluid present because of the larger brakes, and so is sees a leak. we had an FSE from Ford come to our shop for the same thing happening in a Hennessy Venom F-150 due to larger upgraded calipers, brakes and rotors.

So if by chance you were able to install a front wilwood brake kit on a newer raptor with an EBB i would love to know how you were able to accomplish that. A Wilwood rep told us that a new EBB and re-flash is what has fixed this in other models. I dont know how a 2025 Raptor R with 252 miles would benefit from a new EBB when is already has a brand new EBB and the values inside of the abs module cannot be changed to accommodate the new Wilwood calipers, rotors and brake pads.

I also have a phone call with Wilwood tomorrow as per the customer request because they want to keep their upgraded brakes but want to know without a doubt that they will have to go back to stock for the codes to go away.
