Whipple Gen 4 install w/ JDM 650HP upgrade

Whipple does HP numbers for rwhp, so that's like another 15 to 25 at the crank.
I'm liking that! It's going to be a big step for me going from a Gen 2 to a Gen 4.

Whipple tunes are pathetic at best as well.
Best thing I did was go back to stock pulley and a Livernois tune.

That's your opinion, and there's no stock pulley size, it all depends on the mods that were done.

Like I told you before it's a good thing you live close to a speed shop that knows Raptors and was able to fix your build once they looked at it.

Well, just replaced the spark plugs with the colder ones. Hit a snag. The rear most passenger plug was hard to get out. Almost seized up. It may have boogered the threads a little because I’m having a hard time getting the new plug in. It seems to be threading in like normal for several rounds, then hits a hard spot. I’m afraid to push it. Thinking about running out and picking up a thread chaser. Any idea how to go about this? Can’t get in close enough to the hole to see the best if the threads are messed up or not.

Best pic I could take. Hard to tell what’s going on. The deeper it goes, the better the threads. It looks like to me the first 1/8” or so is a little rough.

Tough to call, maybe run a few of the new spark plugs in and hope it gets better maybe.
Using a thread chaser will create some metal filings,
you would have to protect the cylinder some how and blow out the hole before removing the protection.

You may want to find a cheap inspection probe, I bought one from Newegg for $35 works great.

Gonna pick up an inspection camera and thread chaser while I’m out this morning and hopefully that will clean it up enough. Gonna continue on with the rest of the install and tackle this later today.

Got the reservoir mounted last night before I quit. The pump is a lot smaller than the one depicted in the installation manual. Got the mounts on for the Afco HE.

That's the new system, pump in the installation has the smaller tank sitting on top.
I wish I had that.

Well, sat the manifold on and I seem to be one of the few ‘unlucky’ ones with cab clearance issues. It’s hard to swing a hammer in there that far back from the cowl. What persuading I did to it didn’t make enough clearance. By the injector ports, it’s only off by 1/4” if that. Gonna try pounding it a bit more before I resort to sliding the cab.

The little nub in the rear center of the manifold was part hitting the firewall. Cut out the insulation and that gave me the clearance needed. Just installed fuel rails.
