Plenty of room to run power wire to lighter wiring. Top tray comes right out after removing the mounting screws. No curveballs.

I accessed the lighter wires through the glove box area.

Didn't realize there was a rubber mat that covered the screw's. That makes installing the mount so much easier

Now to my least favorite thing in the world, wiring!

Lighter wiring is kinda tight. I removed the plug (kinda tricky). I spliced in about 2" from the plug itself. Then replaced the plug back into the lighter recepticle.

I posted somewhere how I taped the wiring. Its easy with the glove box out of the way.

found it http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f12/lowrance-gps-install-help-23029/
I actually just saw this thread a few days ago, but thanks for giving my the link cause I may need it later
How do you remove the glove box, is there a push pin on the sides to get it to drop down?

What's the trick to getting the lighter out? Im notorious for breaking everything and don't really want to buy more parts if I don't need to

There's 2 little black tabs inside the lighter plug that need pushed in to let the mechanism release.

To get the glove box completely out of the way remove the three screws at the bottom. I forgot how it came out. I think I had to shove a screwdriver into it from the back side to release it.

Don't need to really remove it all the way. Just let it hang down after detaching it from the top part. But either works.

Pretty simple actually, took me less than 3 minutes to get hem both out. It'd probably be done and wired if I had the correct hardware to mount the damn thing. I may have to open my RPG box and see if they sent the correct hardware in with their kit

Kinda wondering how sturdy the LGE/CTS mount is going to be, I don't have the speaker up top and there's only 2 mounting holes. Doesn't seem like a great idea

I just bought the LGE and knew the face plate wouldn't be matching my elite 7. The frame and bracketing looks like it can withstand the abuse. I hope to have it installed this afternoon and wired too. I will try to report back soon.
