With all the intermittent problems I was thinking maybe moisture or crud in the harness plugs. It was just a thought.

My drivers side spyder led taillight just started doing the same thing. I'll try the battery disconnect tomorrow and check all my connections. Has anyone talked to Spyder about this issue?

Spyder just got back to me and they are sending me replacement load resistors. On a side note, I disconnected the battery and while I was waiting I brought the drivers side taillight inside. I let them warm up and cleaned them up a bit. I also threw some didactic grease on them. Put everything back together and they are working again.

Looks like I'll have some new load resistors if the hyperflash doesn't come back.

I've heard it's possible to have Ford program the hyper-flash thing out of your truck's computer. Another thing to think about is that, over time, resistors can gain or lose resistance due to the heat they put off. Lastly, resistance can be affected by temperature. That is because the coil on the inside can expand or retract increasing or decreasing resistance.

Both of my stock taillights are cracked and I'm hoping to have the hyperflash thing deleted from my on-board computer to prevent it from happening once I install the LED taillights I have on the way.

Fred

Sorry about the off topic post but it is sort of lighting related. @Fred the truck in your signature, are the headlights tinted? They look awesomely blacked out.

So...mine has come back but now its on the passenger side and only the bottom leds are not lighting up on my spyder. And its intermittent.

Let us know if your able to get the dealership to delete it from the conputer. That would be awesome.

Also, does anyobe know if you get get rid of the hyperflash through a different relay?
