No it does not trigger a trailer !

Currently the C1 work fine, the C1R are showing a trailer connected. We just learned about this on Thursday and Diode Dynamics is aware of the issue and is investigating how to fix it.

Why not just connect to the tail lights wiring harness instead of the trialer wiring harness?

That’s probably how they will fix it for the Fords with BLIS

Just got my C1R kit yesterday. Will hook up today and see if Diode fixed it. Supposedly they did which is why it took 3 months to send out

They have not fixed it yet. The C1R will not work on your truck without generating messages on the dash

Contacted Adam at 4x4TruckLEDs and he provided a very detailed simple fix.
Everything now works properly including my Blind Spot !
