FACE PALM.....why didnt i think of that. I have been running the hose to my pan, never even crossed my mind to run it directly into an empty oil jug.

in theory, you should only get about 5 out via the drain, and almost 1 via the filter.

but you would just have to watch it, and turn the valve off if you are going to go over.

Glad I have a metal pan and plug.

I drain my oil into a 5 gallon container and then take to recycle when it is mostly full. Had a diesel truck and had a fumoto on it too and made oil changes so easy and clean. Didn’t hardly spill a drop.

correct. The only diff is the SX series allows you to clock the spout to any position you wish.
