Mud in my door

Nothing was broken inside my door! supposedly there was A LOT of mud jammed in-between the door and the plastic panel. With the colder weather hitting, the mud froze inside my door and locked up my mechanism i guess.

The dealer: "Yeah, you have to pay for this.. There's a lot of mud in your door. Definitely not under warranty. You must be offroading."

Wow To top it off, at the end of the conversation he said "Oh, you owe us 50.oo from last service too." I told him get his facts straight, its suppose to be a credit TO ME because you guys charged 100.oo to change a tire onto a rim!

There is always something fishy going on when I take it in

Just to clarify what has already been said-

The is a difference between a TSB and a Recall.

A Recall is a proactive voluntary replacement that is triggered when a certain number of failures triggers the percentage required to initiate a recall. The recall is then initiated to owners of any vehicle that is affected by that issue.

A TSB is a replacement that is not publicly advertised, but is acknowledged to be either a material or design defect of the manufacturer. It is triggered when the part or parts that are identified as the issue fail or begin to show signs of failure.

Typically, recalls are issued if parts in question pose a safety concern, TSBs cover basic failures such as vinyl tops wearing prematurely on my 2008 mustang, or a clutch issue on a GT500.
