What's up with Gen 2 prices recently?

Just picked up a clean 2019 Screw with 15k miles 802A with almost every option. Missing CF and Recaro seats. For 70K from a dealer. Not a great deal, but a fair one for the time I think.

It's an OK deal for the current time... A brand new 2022 Raptor starts at $68,675 + $1795 destination charge. That is for a base model with zero options, and that's if you can find a dealer who will stick to MSRP. Either way, it'd be pretty easy to option it up to $80k at least. The patience part would be waiting a minimum of 6 months and hoping the truck actually gets built. In the meantime what do you drive? Time is money.

But who knows. I could just be trying to justify my recent Gen 2 purchase as well lol.

They are selling 2018’s with 60k on them for 68k down here at the dealers. So in this comparison you guys made out much better in your deal.

Now the nicely loaded 80k 2022 Raptor in maybe 6 months, may not be seeking for 80k. Down here they are marked up to 95-105k.

Brothers, drive the trucks you just bought and enjoy them. We are paying too much for everything right now. I won’t even mention housing as it’s getting more mind boggling every 2-4 weeks down here. Appears to be no ceiling.

Probably. wait until the used market bottom falls out. and yes, it will. prices are still up at least 30% for all used vehicles.

And when that drops, ya'll that paid new prices for used vehicles are going to be pissed.

no one can tell this dude he got a good deal, because he didn't. He just might not gotten as screwed as someone else.

the cure for high prices is high prices. It won't last.

The best possible case is selling without buying (cars, houses). but good luck with that.

I was actually looking for a Gen 3. But all the allocations in a 500-600 mile radius of where I'm at were taken. I found a few 22's that were not sold yet, but the lowest ADM I found was 10K. For what I wanted option wise it was 90K after ADM.

So I figured get a low milage Gen 2 and see what happens with the Gen 3's. And what I over paid for on the current used market. I made up for on my trade in, as that value was inflated too.

Sure you made more on your sale, so that offsets what you overpaid on your gen 2

some true exemple prices 2 years ago (when I was looking for one)

2017 scab avalanche with 100K miles 802 A, orange accent ,CF... 37K$ (it was for sale more than one month)

2018 scab leadfoot with 5K miles 802A full load 52K$ (sold in few days)

several deal like that at this time...And I remember I was undecided

I have finally found mine in october 2020 for 64K $ whith 3900 miles (scab lead foot 802) and I am still very happy, more time fly, happier I am whith my truck and deal I have done...

The real crime is ford raising the price of a stripped base model 20k in the last two years.

Was curious what people thought about prices these days, almost a year later from the last post.

Looking at a truly loaded '19 for just under 74k. Exact color and wheels I'd like, etc. There's literally no option not on it from what I can see. Has under 7500 miles and mint as can be. Sticker was 76k.

Update:

Ended up getting the one I mentioned above this past Thursday. 2019 Loaded Ruby Red with under 7200 miles for $69,500. Was 74k around March 23rd. They had just dropped the price a week prior, then again on Thursday when they called me. I probably would have paid more if they just would have worked with me (in the earlier stages) when I was saying the price was too high. Now I really don't understand the "no haggle" model, but it the end it worked out for me.
