What's everyone doing for vinyl lettering on the grill?

I paid $400 to have them do the marbelized black/gray background, "ghost" the Raptor, pin stripe the lettering and paint the rectangles (don't know what they are called) that are in the bumper, blue flame. Alot of that came from the custom Raptor stencil that he made and used...I think he said there were 128 ghosted Raptors...kinda labor intensive!

that looks nice. like the outline and the stencil. i went the decal, but it
peeling. so need to rethink this. as much as i have put into this truck 400 more for a nice painted decal is not out of the question. plus may get my flares painted at the same time. thanks for the reply. jack

Your decal problem was one of the reasons I decided to spend the extra money up front, figured if I went with the decals, they would eventually peel, fade, etc., and would then end up at the paint shop anyway! I think they did an awesome job! Another idea they had, if you don't want the Raptor ghosted was to do the Ford Blue Oval, F-150, SVT, etc., ghosted....if you can dream it, a good custom shop can do it! Let us know what you decide!!

I went with decals first to see if I liked it, and figured when my $25 stickers get to looking rough, I can go get it painted the same way.

I went the eBay route and I'm with you guys, the vinyl was rough on the fitment side but it did applaud the front end like I liked for $28..... No issues yet and they been on there almost a month. When i need to go a different route, I was going to spend the extra dough for sure on some outlined lettering that's reflective Red outlined.

Yeah for the price I knew it wouldn't be the highest quality, but honestly, once it's on the truck it's hard to see any imperfections. Here's a pic to illustrate:

That looks awesome!

I originally wanted to take it for a custom paint job with the blue pinstripe on the FORD but I didnt want to go into something costly that will eventually get rock chips so I went the Ebay route. Looks good, only complaint from me is that the Blue Flame outline isnt thick enough to be seen but its there and of course they werent perfectly cut but it does the job.
