What would you do? Low MPG on new to me Gen 2.

I will be dropping it off at the dealer next week for cam phasers. I was on the fence about the sound, but it's gotten a bit more prominent even since I posted this.

Update:
I got my truck back today. Cam phaser fix in place. Just filled up the tank. I will report back on the MPG after running through a couple of tanks.
The air filter looks decent and spark plugs untouched so the only change will be the cam phasers.
This will be interesting!

Sounds like similar issue I had, mine required new plugs (close to $500 thx Wendle Ford).

500 for a plug job!? Mine was 140 with boots and labor!

That's ridiculous. They probably torqued it till it started to eat the threads and then backed off a little.

I changed my plugs today. Motorcraft SP594. $8.99 x 6. Didn't know about replacing the boots, so I'll replace those soon.
