I would absolutely do the UCAs when you do the shocks but that’s just me. As mentioned you can run spacers if you need to to clear the arms. It’s no big deal.

Because you are already going to be all up in the front suspension. It's a lot less hassle to do it while the shocks are off as they need to come off to replace the UCAs... 2 alignments etc. I just think it's dumb not to do it together if you are eventually going to do then anyway.

Cost is slightly a factor, and I was planning on driving with the stock uca’s for about a year.

You do you but it makes no sense to me. You literally have to pull the shock to remove the UCA. Why do it twice? In my mind that is 2x the chance of a ******.

My point exactly but I wasn’t going to push it. I went down the same path and did this job twice. If your going to upgrade the suspension and use the truck hard you’ll be happy that you slot deleted and have your alignment locked in.

Damn I was 100% in now I think I should probably wait and save up the few extra grand to do the slot delete , uca’s , tie rods, and spacers. Damnit.

another little fact is heim joints and uniballs wear out and need to be replaced at significant cost on uca’s and tie rods, so if you don’t lift the front more than an inch or so the stock uca’s will survive and the tie rods and slot delete are not that important, personally I would go non live valve and save money too

May be opening a can of worms here but will my current setup with eibachs wear out my stock uca’s?

no stock uses balls joints which are quiet and last, the height of the eibachs may stress the limits of the stock uca ball joints but I don’t hear about failures much on the forum, heims are stronger, articulate better and through more range however they can creak and definitely wear out in a year in my wet climate, in california they will last longer especially if you’re mostly on road
