My dealer did the same. Told them not to installed the license bracket and they did. GRRRRR!

I wonder why they used self tapping screws when the license plate comes with a rivet?

Good question for the Dealer! My front bracket was screwed on not riveted. You ask them NOT to do something and they do it anyway.

GM parts on a Ford? Sacrilege!!!

Hey, whatever works! There wasn't a Ford labeled widget that worked. Its not like I dropped an LSIII engine under the hood although that would be nice.
