Over populated problems^^ its not right whither you had room or not just sucks they had to tow it so far improperly. Glad to hear it wasn't lack of pay theft.

I'm not sure that a tow truck driver would even care about how to tow a specific car properly. If he tows it from the rear, the front tires roll, and that's all that matters to him. If he had towed from the front, then he probably would have remove the drive shaft, put it on dollies, or broke in to it to shift into neutral.

Hopefully, there isn't any damage. Good luck!

40-50 unfortunately. I emailed the company requesting copies of the pictures and asked what gear it was in when it was towed and their reply was "it was towed from the rear". So I imagine it was left in park. They jiffied the lock and got into my truck to rig the seat belt around the steering wheel to keep it from wandering. This appears to be a gray area of the law since they are required to secure the wheel/vehicle to tow but commit a criminal act to do so.

I just drove it 500 miles across texas with no issues (at least that I know of).

Oo yeah. Here's why I got towed by the uneducated slimeball tow truck driver!!

How can they break into it in order to tow it? That doesn't seem right. Emergency situation then so be it but for a regular tow then they shouldn't force entry.
