Let us not forget that God invented gravity, which of course gives us all fun things to do in our Raptors. (Or you can believe that the Earth sucks, whichever you think is most likely.) :)

I thought the earth was flat! WTF? Now you've destroyed my entire thinking of the universe!

HA! The truth will set you free, SPRSNK. Now you're free to contempate a whole new set of problems! (hee-hee)

That was a good book, taken with a grain of salt - but lots of good conspiracy theory stuff there...

And no, SPRSNK - the world is as flat as we look at it. Don't worry, the sun, stars and planets still revolve around you...:)

I posted earlier about 'playing with your truck' and cannot stress the importance of that at not only low speeds, but high speeds as well.
We got abut 8 inches of snow last night and not all the roads were cleared today (surprise). I was motoring along at 80(50mph) today and ran into some light traffic and some mercedes that wanted to merge in from the right. I'd been fighting idiots in the snow for over an hour so my patience was, well, it just wasn't. I got pissed and matted it to get around the guy who slowed in front of me as I had a hanger on my left bumper.
Road conditions were partial slush, but mostly water and that ****** sand compilation they spew everywhere.
Both rears light up, and I can feel the ass end shifting slightly to the right. Since that helped my angle in changing lanes, I kept the throttle steady, and it put me in the left lane really quick, tires still spinning. I eased off when in the left lane and straightened out - tires still spinning right through 60mph.
Electronics and nanny system fail? I dunno, but it felt cool, and I was in complete control.
I have 30k miles on the truck now (seemingly half of them winter...) and I can honestly say I still don't understand the electronics. That healthy fear will hopefully invoke enough caution to avoid a wipeout someday.
Moral of this story is - play with it more, under all conditions possible - so you can anticipate what the electronics do and their effects (if any!)

Ford has designed this system for the "average" driver that panic brakes, follows to close, drives to fast for the conditions.
So when someone with moderate amount of driving skills gets behind the wheel. The nannies work against the skilled driver so Ford in a wise decision. Allow the few skilled drivers to numb or turn it off the system. I suspect they knew the system would throw a fit if you are powersliding, countersteering, drifting, or anything outside the normal program.

Yeah, well, you seemed so emphatic above. Just giving you a little food for thought. So you're not going to acknowledge there may be a God because "dammit, that's not how I would have designed it".

OK
