Y’know, I’ve thought about that too... I’m pretty tight with the local Honda dealer but they have never sold one and said it would have to be a special order... Maybe I should be a **** and test drive one somewhere else [emoji848] Admittedly I’m not a huge fan of the Type-R styling, but I would likely get used to it

Yeah that's what turned me off too....but like that you can get 4 doors, stick shift, decent interior, & honda reliability/quality & MPGs. I cross-shopped a ton of vehicles in the $35-$45k range before dumping more $$$$/mods into my current toy car - Z06. The Civic-R was @ the top of the heap in terms of pure driving enjoyment & certainly overall bang for the buck. If I could have a 3rd vehicle it would be @ the top of the list as would an STI - but like I said - lets see what the next one will be like.......its nearly akin to buying a "brand new" Toyota Tundra today knowing that the entire design basically dates back to circa 04-06 debuting for '07 model year when we know they'll be coming out w/ a new version (finally) in the near future. Its one thing if you're just "giving up" a few aesthetic or tech features going w/ a "new" older model year - like an 18 vs 19 Raptor, but going from a 2014 or whatever the last steel F150 to a '15+ - big difference

The STI still holds its value better than the others in its class. I own my STI outright and bought it new in early Summer of 2016. It has been a great car but only has 18,500 miles on it during that time frame. I would love to have been able to buy a 2007 STI new when they were out because of the light weight, inter cooler sprayer and what not giving up on the tech side of things.

On Bring a Trailer, old STIs with low miles still bring 25-26 grand. I love the fact that they do not depreciate below a certain threshold kind of like Raptors do to an extent.

Holy shit dude! I’m crazy impressed!
I have to ask... What do you do for a living? I feel like Jonah Hill’s character in Wolf Of Wall Street, offering to quit my job right here right now [emoji28]
