Weird that it would corrupt your computer as all the pedal commander does is alter the sensor data going TO the ECU to essentially recalibrate your inputs. It doesn’t modify your ECU at all and your computer never sees abnormal data, it’s just seeing data that normally wouldn’t occur for a given set of inputs

The issue is that the PCM may see abnormal data depending on how the truck is being operated. Because the pedal commander modifies the APP signals, it is possible for the data to show an implausible situation. Ever since Toyota's fraudulent unintended acceleration cover up and resulting fines and lawsuits, APP input is closely scrutinized. Anything that may fall outside of a normal signal will set a wrench light, DTCs, and limp mode. This is a known issue with any aftermarket device that modifies the factory APP, regardless of brand.
