Well after I returned my truck to the dealer after it came back puking oil following the cam phaser replacement I waited another week without a car while they replaced all the gaskets again. They said they added dye and test drove it for 15 miles and no leaks. I went to pick it up today and didn’t see any drips. Almost home and I start seeing smoke. I immediately pulled over and popped the hood to see oil pouring out of the timing cover and valve cover. 2 times is pretty damn unacceptable. They’re towing it back and the service manager is supposed to call me tomorrow. Over a month without my car from the initial drop off. At this point I would have rather lived with the rattle.

Looks like your dealer tech(s) are the typical flat-rate goons. It’s a sad thing to know for a fact that taking your vehicle to a dealer for anything, but especially engine work, has a 90+% chance of getting a goon and several trips to get it right, if ever.

Yup and supposedly this was one of their most senior technicians. I never take my truck to the dealer for anything unless it’s a warranty item because it doesn’t make sense to pay for parts and do it myself if it was under warranty. I put of the cam phasers for a really long time for this reason.

Pinstriped it in Big Bend NP and State park

Which trails did you go on?

The dirt road to Santa Ellena is my favorite! Usually go 70mph to 90mph and get some air, good times! We've been 5 times in 2 Raptors and it's always a blast!

Most of the pinstripes on my Gen1 buffed out!

Let me guess, Old Ore Road?
Yes we hit Old Maverick road. Actually stayed 2 of our nights off of it. We did River road from west to east along with Black Gap road and Old Ore Road.
I think that pic i posted of off of River road.
And yes Old Maverick road is build for Raptors. I rearranged all the camping stuff I had under the bedcover on it.
Our favorite camping spot from the trip was Buenos Aires. Great views from a small hill and a great sunsets!

Badass truck! What A-Pillar mounts are those that allow for the second pair of lights?

The s1s are just bolted to the XLs on the pillars.

Using S1s allowed me to aim the wide lens s1s outboard, without having to worry about hood glarte, like you would if you put LP4s on the pillar mounts. ( the wide portion of the lenses on LP4s is both sides. I didn't want to light up the hood.)
