Its not hydro dipped. Its actually carbon fiber. I assume they just wrap the the abs trim and cover it in resin etc.

The tape on the end of this thing came loose on me and it slapped the front of my truck in the wind. Scratched my clear, can buff it out but just an FYI if you put this on.

Took the better part of two days over the weekend, but gave her a good stem-to-stern detailing, including hand wash and a fresh coat of Mothers' California Gold wax. Also did the 'black skid plate' mod with some Rustoleum spray-in bedliner, anticipating that will have better durability than ordinary paint would. Hardest part of that was making the first pass with the sander to roughen up the surface. But it looks SO much better than the silver/natural finish from the factory. Can't recall who did it first that I saw, but if it was you and you see this THANK you!! Next up is the Hellwig sway bar and a finned diff cover (AFE).
